Amy Sue Snell and Christopher Lee Gibbs were united in marriage Nov. 1, 2003, at Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church. The Rev. Cy Smith performed the ceremony. Violinist was Felicia Jenkins of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Jan Snell and Bill Snell of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Bill and Karen Gibbs of Scott City.
Maid of honor was JoEtta Snell of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Laurie Gibbs, sister-in-law of the groom; Jenny Farrow; Sarah Hobbs, cousin of the bride, all of Cape Girardeau, Shannon Erzfeld of Patton, Mo., Emily Witvoet of Cape Girardeau, sister of the groom; Jodi Brown of McClure, Ill., Stephanie Crabtree of Scott City, and Tabatha Crabtree of St. Louis.
Scott Gibbs of Cape Girardeau served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Workman of Scott City, Donnie Bucy of Lafayette, Tenn., Derek Ham of Scott City, Paul Ham of Webb City, Mo.; Drew Witvoet of Cape Girardeau, brother-in-law of the groom; Patrick Anderson of St. Louis, David Bertrand and Michael Keller of Cape Girardeau.
Candlelighters were Stephanie and Tabatha Crabtree.
Flower girl was Meredith Ham, daughter of Paul and Amanda Ham. Ringbearer was Brandon Gibbs, son of Scott and Laurie Gibbs and nephew of the groom.
Guest book and program attendants were Melinda Hyche and Sandy Hutson.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Bavarian Halle in Fruitland. Servers were Linda Caldwell and Linda Long.
Mrs. Gibbs is a graduate of Jackson High School, and Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center School of Practical Nursing. She is a licensed practical nurse at St. Francis Medical Center.
The groom is a graduate of Jefferson City High School in Jefferson City, Mo. He is an engineer with Union Pacific Railroad.
The couple is residing in Scott City.
