CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Christina Ann Smith and James Thomas Duby Jr. exchanged vows July 21, 2001, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. The Rev. Ralph Duffner performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Betty Vandevan and soloist was Tyree Emerson, both of Chaffee. Servers were Chelsea and Courtney Walter and Lori Obermann.
Robert and Georgia Smith of Chaffee are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Kathe Forseberg of South Fulton, Tenn., and Jim Duby Sr. of Montrose, Mich.
Maid of honor was Jessica Smith of Chaffee, sister of the bride. Matron of honor was Kelly Spies of Burfordville, Mo. Bridesmaids were Ashlie Smith of Chaffee, sister of the bride; Dawn Price and Deanne Harmon of Flint, Mich., sisters of the groom. Junior bridesmaid was Chasity Harmon of Flint, niece of the groom.
Bobby Duby of Chaffee served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Matt and Mike Duby of Montrose, brothers of the groom; Chris Price and Tony Harmon of Flint, brothers-in-law of the groom. Junior groomsman was Justin Price, nephew of the groom.
Miniature bride was Taylor Kirchdoerfer and ringbearer was Cory Kirchdoerfer, children of David and Tracy Kirchdoerfer of Chaffee and cousins of the bride.
Guest book attendants were Dylan and Christopher Harmon of Flint, nephews of the groom. Program attendants were Jaimie Emerson and Donna Cannon of Chaffee.
Following the ceremony, the reception, dinner and dance was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City, Mo. Servers were Tracy Kirchdoerfer, aunt of the bride; Kristi Keasler, Jessica Bogenpohl, Jennifer Landewee and Julie Dodd.
The bride received a bachelor of science degree in early childhood and elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University. She is completing a master's degree in administration. She is a second grade teacher at Thomas W. Kelly Elementary School in Benton, Mo.
The groom is a 1992 graduate of Birch Run High School in Birch Run, Mich. He is employed at Miller Dry Wall in Scott City.
After a wedding trip to Cozumel, Mexico, the couple is residing in Scott City.
