Megan Frances Smith and Charles David Wehner were married May 17, 2008, at Bliss Plaza in Lees Summit, Mo. Pat Joyce performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Daryl and Julie Smith of Overland Park, Kan., and John and Jan Bolfeta of Blue Springs, Mo. The groom is the son of David and Barb Wehner of Cape Girardeau.
Maids of honor were Sarah Brophy and Meghan Donohue, and matron of honor was Leah Sullivan, all of Kansas City, Mo. Bridesmaids were Penny Smith and Marlena Smith of Kansas City, and Julie Buford of Cape Girardeau.
Neil Kassal of Phoenix, Ariz., was best man. Groomsmen were Michael Wehner and Jeff Diebold of Cape Girardeau, Chris Smith and Wade Brown of Kansas City, and Shannon Buford of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Daniel Joyce of St. Louis and Patrick Joyce of Jefferson City.
Flower girl was Elise Buford, daughter of Shannon and Julie Buford and niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Aiden Smith, son of Chris and Penny Smith and nephew of the bride.
Lacey Eddings of Independence, Mo., attended the guest book.
The reception was held at Bliss Plaza.
The rehearsal dinner was held at Waldo's in Lees Summit.
Mrs. Wehner received a bachelor of nursing degree from St. Luke's College, and is pursuing a master of science in nursing education from Webster University. She is a registered nurse at St. Luke's Hospital.
The groom received a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is employed by Cerner Corp.
The couple is residing in Lees Summit.
