Smith -- Cuba

Katie Ann Smith and Robert Michael Cuba, both of St. Louis, were married June 27 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in St. Louis.

Monsignor John Brennell performed the ceremony, and music was provided by pianist Elaine Fassi, violinist Lydia Fulton and vocalist Marybeth Freitag, all of St. Louis.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Smith of St. Louis. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cuba of Cape Girardeau.

Matron of honor was Amanda Ricchio of St. Louis, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Mariah Mense, Michaela Mense, Amy Fogarty and Joanie Maier, all cousins of the bride, from St. Louis, and Casey Cuba, sister of the groom, from Franklin, Tennesee.

Tyler Cuba, brother of the groom, from Cape Girardeau, was the best man. Groomsmen were Andrew Smith, brother of the bride, from St. Louis, Matthew Cuba, brother of the groom, from Las Cruces, New Mexico; Brandon Hill, friend of the groom, from Cape Girardeau; Nicolaas Basson, friend of the groom, from Grand Forks, North Dakota; and Joseph Maier, cousin of the bride, from St. Louis.

Flower girls were Gemma Fogarty, cousin of the bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fogarty of St. Louis, and Reese Ingenbohs, cousin of the groom, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jason Ingenbohs of St. Louis. Ringbearers were Wyatt Hill, friend of the bride and groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brandon Hill of Cape Girardeau, and Trey Ingenbohs, cousin of the groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jason Ingenbohs of St. Louis.

Junior bridesmaids were Gianna and Gracie Fogarty, cousins of the bride, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fogarty of St. Louis, and the ushers were Mitchell Mense and John Canziani, both cousins of the bride, and Kyle Kohne, cousin of the groom, all of St. Louis.

The reception was held at Tapawingo National Golf Club in Sunset Hills, Missouri, and the rehearsal dinner was June 25, hosted by the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cuba, at Anheuser Busch Brewery in St. Louis.

Katie is a 2004 graduate of Bishop Dubourg High School in St. Louis and a 2009 graduate of Fontbonne University. She is a fifth grade teacher at St. Joseph Catholic School in Imperial, Missouri.

Robert is a 1999 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School in Cape Girardeau. He received his bachelor's degree from ITT and is a medical equipment project manager at BJC Health Systems in St. Louis.

After a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in St. Louis.
