Slinkard-Niswonger

Megane Jean Slinkard and Jason Shawn Niswonger were united in marriage June 24, 2006, beside the lake at the Elks Lodge in Cape Girardeau. Jim Matthews performed the ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Jim and Barbara Slinkard of Jackson. The groom is the son of Peggy McClain of Delta.

Matron of honor was Tammy Wheatley of Jackson, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Dakin of Rogersville, Mo.; Tina Fronabarger of Jackson; and Elizabeth Wheatley of Jackson, niece of the bride.

Frank Dietiker Jr. of Cape Girardeau was best man. Groomsmen were Kyle Chasteen of O'Fallon, Mo.; James Hamlin of Cape Girardeau; and Zach Niswonger of St. Charles, Mo., nephew of the groom. Ushers were Dale Wheatley of Jackson, brother-in-law of the bride, and Brian Kelpe of Cape Girardeau.,

Flower girl was Sylvia Shrader, daughter of Steve and Marcia Shrader of DeSoto, Mo., cousin of the bride.

Joy Smith of Jackson attended the guest book.

The reception was held at the Elks Lodge. Servers were Stacy Niswonger of Benton, Mo., sister of the groom, and Danielle Waites of Jackson.

The rehearsal dinner was held June 23 at Delmonico's.

Mrs. Niswonger is a 1993 graduate of Jackson High School. She is lead teller at Commerce Bank.

The groom is a 1992 graduate of Central High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University in 1999. He is a history teacher with Oak Ridge School District.

After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple resides in Jackson.
