Stephanie Jeanne Slinkard and Edward Allen McGee exchanged vows April 27, 2002, at East Cape Baptist Church in East Cape Girardeau, Ill. The Rev. Raymond Oxford performed the double ring ceremony. Lisa Murphy of McClure, Ill., provided music and was soloist.
The bride is the daughter of Charlie and Audrey Slinkard of St. Charles, Mo., and Karla Biler Ragge of Van Buren, Ark. The groom is the son of Daisy McGee of Cape Girardeau, and the late Claud McGee.
Matron of honor was Melissa Harris and bridesmaid was Mindy Hodges, both of Cape Girardeau.
Gerald Taylor of Cape Girardeau was best man. Groomsman was Greg Slinkard of Fort Smith, Ark., brother of the bride. Ushers were Bryan Harris and Bryan Hodges of Cape Girardeau.
Erin Geiser of Dutchtown, Mo., cousin of the bride, was candlelighter.
Miniature bride was Emily Harris, daughter of Bryan and Melissa Harris. Miniature groom was Chase Randolph, son of the bride.
Ringbearers were Harrison and Garrett Robbins, sons of Jason and Amber Robbins of Round Rock, Texas, and great-nephews of the groom.
Lindsay Cook of Chaffee, cousin of the bride, attended the guest book. Programs were handed out by Rachel Parker of Fenton, Mo., cousin of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the VFW Hall. Servers were Nancy Geiser of Dutchtown and Jane Cook of Chaffee, aunts of the bride.
The bride and groom hosted the rehearsal dinner April 26 at Joey's Restaurant in East Cape.
Mrs. McGee is a 1991 graduate of Muldrow High School in Muldrow, Okla. She is a hostess at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store.
The groom attended Central High School, served in the U.S. Navy, and attended Southeast Missouri State University. He is a driver with Delta Concrete.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
