Sarah Jeanne Slaten and Berin Lee Waller were married Dec. 17, 2005, at St. Francis Xavier College Church in St. Louis. The Rev. Kim Costello performed the ceremony. Pianist was Sue Martin, violinist was Julie Leonhardt, and vocalist was Kris Wilson. Readers were Franci Erdmann and Meredith Stout of Kansas City.
The bride is the daughter of Stephen and Martha Slaten of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of John Baier of St. Charles, Mo., Alger and Cheryl Waller of Granville, Ohio, and the late Marta Baier.
Matron of honor was Stephanie Shreve of Cape Girardeau and maid of honor was Laura Slaten of Columbia, Mo., sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kate Waller of St. Louis, sister of the groom; Allison Jackson of Springfield, Mo., and Jamie Creekmore of Fort Smith, Ark.
Stephen Baier of St. Charles was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Andrew Brockmeyer, Jon Moxley and Jamie Williams, all of St. Charles, and D.J. Daller of Columbia.
Guest book attendant was Colin Waller of Granville, brother of the groom. Programs were handed out by Amanda Waller of Granville, sister of the groom, and Julia Weber, cousin of the bride. Julia is the daughter of Bill and Mary Jeanne Weber of Jackson.
The reception was held at Schlafly Tap Room in St. Louis.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Dec. 16 at Lewis and Clark Restaurant in St. Charles.
Mrs. Waller is a graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Drury University in Springfield in 2002. She is a third grade teacher at Northview Elementary School in St. Louis.
The groom is a graduate of St. Charles High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2000. He is a fifth grade teacher at Gary Gore Elementary School in St. Louis.
After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple resides in St. Charles.
