Whitney Anne Sibley and Michael William Sheppard were married April 25, 2009, at Centenary United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jeff Long performed the ceremony. Organist was Beverly Reece of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Allen and Sharon Sibley of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Melinda Sheppard and John Dueker of Ballwin, Mo., and Ronald Sheppard of St. Louis.
Maid of honor was Kathleen Scanlon of St. Louis. Bridesmaids were Lindsey Reynolds of St. Louis and Christina Farrow of Cape Girardeau.
Brian Benson of Cape Girardeau was best man. Groomsmen were Steven Baureis of Wildwood, Mo., and Louis Baureis of Whitefish Bay, Wis., uncles of the groom. Ushers were Cody Farrow of Cape Girardeau and Scott Hingle of Ballwin.
Ashley Baureis, cousin of the groom, was guest book and program attendant.
The reception was held at Buckner Brewing Co. Servers were Patricia Baureis and Susan VanPatten, aunts of the groom.
The groom's family hosted the rehearsal dinner April 24 at Port Cape.
Mrs. Sheppard is a 2004 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor's degree in nursing from Southeast Missouri State University in 2008. She is a registered nurse at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of St. John Vianney High School in St. Louis. He received a bachelor's degree in communications from Southeast University in 2006. He is employed at Pepsi MidAmerica.
After a wedding trip to Walt Disney World, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
