Alaina Joe Shroyer and Christopher Brent Hinze were married Sept. 7, 2002, at First Assembly of God Church in Cape Girardeau. Blake Tiemann performed the ceremony. Teri Smothers of Cape Girardeau was pianist, and soloist was Laura Pullen of Charleston, Mo.
The bride is the daughter of Patty and David Hargett of Woodlawn, Ill., and Dennis Shroyer of Mount Vernon, Ill. Everett and Jeanette Hinze of Jackson are parents of the groom.
Matron of honor was Lynn Hillin of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Tonya Schwartz, sister of the groom, and Christy Harrison, both of Jackson. Junior bridesmaid was Kelsey Fellows of Jackson.
Mike Stone of Cape Girardeau served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Don Brady of Millersville and Andy Harrison of Jackson. Junior groomsman was Justin Schwartz of Jackson, nephew of the groom. Ushers were Matt Miller and Byron Pletcher of Cape Girardeau and Jeremy Shroyer of Mount Vernon, brother of the bride.
Flower girl was Elizabeth Hall, daughter of Chris and Jennifer Hall of Bertrand, Mo., and cousin of the groom.
Patty Main of Jackson attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 6 at Hillin and Clark Accounting Firm.
Mrs. Hinze is owner of Cedar Hills Pet Cemetery.
The groom is employed by GWR Contracting. He is a member of the Navy Reserve.
The couple resides in Altenburg, Mo.
