SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Brittany Dawn Shoemake and Andrew Seth Abernathy were united in marriage Sept. 20, 2008, at Jackson Elks Lodge. Judge Scott Thomsen performed the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Kevin and Elaine Shoemake and Stephen and Carole Abernathy, all of Sedgewickville.
Maid of honor was Haley Bollinger and bridesmaid was Diana Emde, both of Jackson.
Jarrod Crank of Sedgewickville was best man. Groomsman was Kevin Shoemake Jr. of Perryville, Mo., brother of the bride.
Flower girls were Alicia Angel and Katrina Seabaugh, nieces of the groom. Ringbearer was Tanner Angel, nephew of the groom. Alicia and Tanner are the children of Terry and Tia Angel of Marble Hill, Mo. Katrina is the son of Nick and Casey Seabaugh of Sedgewickville.
The reception was held at the Elks Lodge.
The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal breakfast Sept. 20 at the lodge.
Mrs. Abernathy is a 2004 graduate of Meadow Heights High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in housing and interior design from Southeast Missouri State University in 2008. She is employed at Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Meadow Heights High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in construction management from Southeast in 2008. He is employed by Koehler Engineering in Cape Girardeau.
After a wedding trip to St. Charles, Mo., the couple is residing in Sedgewickville.
