Elizabeth Shivelbine and David Winkler were married May 21, 2005, at Francine's Gardens. The Rev. John Lottes and Dr. Bernhard Asen performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Trio Girardeaux and Southeast Missouri State University Faculty Brass Quintet.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Kathleen Shivelbine of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of William and Carol Winkler of Jonesville, Wis.
Maid of honor was Christen Keller of Fort Myers, Fla., cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sarah Barnard of St. Louis; Tracie Ramage of Cape Girardeau; Susan Shivelbine of Kirkwood, Mo., sister-in-law of the bride; and Vicki Ventrella of Bridgeton, Mo.
Nathan Winkler of West Palm Beach, Fla., was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were James Daubs of Bloomingdale, Ill.; Scott Klohr of Columbia, Ill.; Matthew Shivelbine of Kirkwood, brother of the bride; and Mark Wolfmeyer of Washington, Ill. Ushers were Brian Bollow of DeKalb, Ill., and Patrick Cuba of St. Louis.
Flower girl was Megan Bret, daughter of John and Laurie Bret of Dallas, Texas, and cousin of the bride.
Courtney Finch attended the guest book.
The reception was held at the Cape Girardeau Country Club.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 20 at Mollie's Cafe and Bar.
Mrs. Winkler is a graduate of Central High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in biology from Truman State University. She is pursuing a Ph.D. and is a graduate teaching assistant at St. Louis University.
The groom is a graduate of Waterloo, Ill., High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in biology from Western Illinois University, and a master of science degree from St. Louis University. He is a microbiology medical technologist at Quest Diagnostics.
The couple is residing in Kirkwood.
