KELSO, Mo. -- Stacey Lynn Seyer and Derek Michael Welter exchanged wedding vows May 9, 2009, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso. The Rev. Oliver Clavin performed the ceremony.
Walter and Kathy Seyer of Kelso are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Mike and Bonnie Westrich of Kelso, and Michael and Loretta Welter of Benton, Mo.
Organist was Hope Essner of Kelso. Vocalists were Teresa Givens of Cape Girardeau, aunt of the bride; Alan Bruns of Cape Girardeau; Bob and Jean Club of Leopold, Mo., cousins of the groom; Roger Seyer of New York, N.Y., uncle of the bride; and Walter Seyer.
Scriptures were read by Patsy Burger of Benton, aunt of the bride, and Cindy Jansen of Leopold, cousin of the groom. Giftbearers were Larry and Suzanne Eftink of Kelso, godparents of the groom, and Ron Glaus and Kristie Glaus of Kelso, godfather and cousin of the bride. Eucharistic ministers were Louis Eftink of Kelso, grandfather of the groom; Chris and Carol Peters of Cape Girardeau, cousins of the groom; and Harold and Mary Faye Gosche of Kelso, cousins of the bride.
Maid of honor was Lindsay Reinagel of Kelso. Bridesmaids were Rachel Ruopp and Danae Davis of Cape Girardeau; Dana Tingwall of New Hamburg, Mo., sister of the groom; Brooke Glaus, cousin of the bride; Whitney Eftink, cousin of the groom; Heather Menz, cousin of the bride; Ashley Reinagel, all of Kelso; and Valerie Seyer of Chaffee, Mo., sister-in-law of the bride.
Richard Reeves of Benton, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Jon Heuring and Josh Glastetter of New Hamburg; Justin Simpher of Sikeston, Mo.; Michael Gosche of St. Louis, cousin of the bride; Brian Glossmeyer of Cape Girardeau; Clayton Eftink of Kelso, cousin of the groom; Keith Seyer of Kelso and Adam Seyer of Chaffee, brothers of the bride. Ushers were Bryan Obermann of Kelso, Chris Dirnberger of Cape Girardeau, Kelly Illers of Gordonville, and Shane Menz of Kelso, cousin of the bride.
Candlelighters were Rachael Unterreiner of Cape Girardeau and Sarah Fahrner of St. Louis.
Flower girls were Tori Burger and Madison Glaus, cousins of the bride, and Maria Seyer, niece of the bride. Ringbearer was Brayden Tingwall, nephew of the groom. Tori is the daughter of Paul and Patsy Burger of Benton. Madison is the daughter of David and Kara Glaus of Dexter, Mo. Maria is the daughter of Adam and Valerie Seyer. Brayden is the son of Randy and Dana Tingwall.
The reception was held at the Bavarian Halle in Jackson.
Mrs. Welter received a bachelor of science degree in parks, recreation, and tourism from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2008. She is a recreation coordinator for the city of Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department.
The groom received a bachelor of science degree in manufacturing engineering technology from Southeast Missouri State University in 2004. He is an industrial engineer with Nestle Purina PetCare in Bloomfield, Mo.
After a wedding trip to Antigua, the couple resides in Kelso.
