CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Meagan Kendra Ruiz and Staff Sgt. Jonathon Richard Kessler were married Oct. 7, 2006, in an outdoor ceremony at Black Forest Villages in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Jeremiah Townsend performed the ceremony. Music was by Rick Braggs of Chaffee.
The bride is the daughter of Ken and Ginny Ruiz of Chaffee. The groom is the son of James Kessler of Evansville, Ind., and Beth York of Chaffee.
Matron of honor was Amanda Pobst, and bridesmaids were Shanna Sadler and Rebecca Reischman, all of Chaffee.
Nathan Morgan was best man, and groomsmen were Andy Sadler and Derrick Uhrhan, all of Chaffee. Ushers were Jeremy Ruiz, brother of the bride; Dusty Grissom, brother of the groom; and Ryan Pobst, cousin of the bride, all of Chaffee.
Flower girls were Brooklyn and Braelyn Pobst, daughters of Ryan and Amanda Pobst of Chaffee and cousins of the bride. Ringbearer was Seger Ruiz, son of Jeremy and Angie Ruiz and nephew of the bride.
The reception was held at the American Legion Auxiliary Hall in Chaffee. Servers were Sandy Robinson of Louisville, Ky., Lisa Loree of Kansas City, Mo., aunts of the bride; and Elizabeth Loree of Kansas City, cousin of the bride.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 6 at Black Forest.
Mrs. Kessler is a 2000 graduate of Chaffee High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed in billing at Brain and NeuroSpine Clinic of Missouri, LLC.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of Chaffee High School. He completed tours of duty in Korea and Iraq, and is enlisted as a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Reserve. He is employed with Drury Inn Electronics.
A wedding trip is planned to Venice, Italy.
The couple resides in Chaffee.
