Anna Claire Ruetz and Michael Bailey Hirschburg were married July 27, 2013, in an outdoor ceremony on Puget Sound in Olympia, Washington. Judge William Syler of Cape Girardeau performed the ceremony. Music was by Christina Hey of Salem, Oregon.

Parents of the couple are Franklin and Julia Ruetz of Lacey, Washington, and Peter and Peggy Hirschburg of Cape Girardeau.

Maid of honor was Ellen Hendrix and bridesmaids were Annie Sterks and Athena Vasquez, all of Lacey, and Valerie Verhei of Portland, Oregon.

Ryan Keller of Columbia, Missouri, was best man. Groomsmen were Chase Powell, James Fisher and Nolan Schmidt, all of Olympia. Ushers were Samuel Ruetz, brother of the bride, and Andrew Thomsen, cousin of the bride.

An outdoor reception and dinner was held after the ceremony.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Swing Wine Bar in Olympia.

Anna is a 2006 graduate of River Ridge High School in Lacey. She received a bachelor of arts degree in drama from the University of Montana at Missoula in 2009. She is employed at Xerox Corp. in Lacey.

Michael is a 2003 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of arts degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 2007. He is employed at Meconi's Restaurant in Lacey.

After a wedding trip to Las Vegas and California, the couple lives in Lacey.
