Sarah Elizabeth Roth and Travis Lee DeGroot were married Oct. 21, 2006, at Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City. The Rev. Robert Azinger performed the ceremony. Organist was Heraleen Bowers and soloist was Vicki Howell, both of Scott City.

Parents of the couple are Frank and Annette Roth of Scott City, and Gary and Carolyn DeGroot of Gordonville.

Matron of honor was Jennifer Spies of Chaffee, Mo., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Connie Kearns of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride; and Kristy Smith of Patton, Mo.

Jimmy Sams of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Brandon Spitzmiller of Cape Girardeau and Kirk Smith of Patton. Ushers were Brian Roth of DeSoto, Ill., brother of the bride, and Shawn Spies of Chaffee, brother-in-law of the bride.

Amy Cracraft of Rolla, Mo., cousin of the bride, attended the guest book.

The reception was held in the parish hall. Servers were Linda Sams, aunt of the groom, and Jessie Sams, cousin of the groom, both of Dexter, Mo.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 20 at their home.

Mrs. DeGroot is a 1999 graduate of Scott City High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary studies from Southeast Missouri State University in 2004. She is a graphic designer with Motorcycle Stuff.

The groom is a 1999 graduate of Jackson High School. He received a degree in precision machining from Ranken Technical College in 2001. He is a machinist at TG Missouri Corp.

After a wedding trip to Wears Valley, Tenn., the couple resides in Jackson.
