Roop - Smith

Sabra Camille Roop and Wesley Paul Smith were married Sept. 7, 2013, at Bethel Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Danny Wilson and the Rev. Phil Roop, father of the bride, performed the ceremony. Pianist was Mollie Young of Jackson, and soloist was Brianna Hertzberg of San Diego, Calif.

The bride is the daughter of Phil and Denise Roop of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Paul and Cyndi Smith of Carthage, Mo.

Maid of honor was Brittany Davee of Mooresville, Ind. Bridesmaids were Kristin Roop of Springfield, Mo., sister-in-law of the bride; Becky Bearden of Benton, Ark., Suraya Abruzzi of Chicago, Brianna Hertzberg, and Natalie Miller of Lake St. Louis, Mo.

Brady Bridges of Oronogo, Mo., was best man. Groomsmen were Cody Belk of Carthage, brother-in-law of the groom; Joseph and Jeffery Wright of Joplin, Mo., cousins of the groom; Jonah Roop of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride; and Billy Schmitz of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Jared Roop of Springfield, brother of the bride; Mitchell Bethune of Jackson, cousin of the bride; and Patrick Cladovan of Springfield.

Flower girl was Sadie Belk, daughter of Cody and Whitney Belk and niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Daniel Lapusan, son of Joe and Carolina Lapusan of Cape Girardeau.

The reception was held at The Venue.

The parents of the groom hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 6 at the church.

Mrs. Smith is a graduate of Central High School, attended Southeast Missouri State University, and graduated from Central Bible College in Springfield. She is employed at Convoy of Hope in Springfield.

The groom is a graduate of Carthage High School, and graduate of SEMO Master's Commission in Cape Girardeau. He is youth pastor/worship leader at Peace Chapel in Fair Grove, Mo.

After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is residing in Fair Grove.
