Beth Ann Roethemeyer and Jason Michael St. John were married June 14, 2003, at Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson. The Rev. Samuel E. Roethemeyer, father of the bride, performed the ceremony. Organist was Dr. Gary Miller of Cape Girardeau; harpist was Sophie Gathman of Jackson; and violinist was Michelle Maloney of Kokomo, Ind. Vocalists were Erika Beasley, Tyson Zahner, Matt and Jennifer Kiesling, all of Jackson; Alison Oslund, Kristi Kloos, Adrian True and Caleb Zustiak, all of St. Louis.
The bride is the daughter of Samuel and Marilee Roethemeyer of Jackson. The groom is the son of Louise St. John of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Robyn Davis of St. Louis, and matron of honor was Christy Shinn of Jackson, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kiley Loesch of Nashville, Tenn., Shannon Lusk of Hutchinson, Kan., Kelly Crawford of Jackson, and Michelle Maloney. Junior bridesmaid was Hannah Fisher of Jackson, niece of the groom.
Glen Brunke of Jackson served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Nathan Turley, Justin Gladish, Mike Gross, Geoff Shinn, brother-in-law of the bride, and Matt Roethemeyer, brother of the bride, all of Jackson. Ushers were Brent Pfeiffer, Travis Turner, Kyle Glass, all of Jackson, and Justin Knolhoff of Centralia, Ill., cousin of the bride.
Candlelighters were Kim Fisher of Jackson, sister of the groom, and Josh Knolhoff of Centralia, cousin of the bride.
Cat Goeke of Cape Girardeau attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Bavarian Halle. Servers were Cathy Sievers of Jackson, Joyce Nysewander of Plainfield, Ind., and Velda Doggett of Sedgewickville, Mo.
The rehearsal dinner was held June 13 at the Brick Garden, with 54 guests attending.
Mrs. St. John is a 1997 graduate of Jackson High School, and received vocal performance and music education degrees from Southeast Missouri State University in 2002. She is choir director at Jackson Junior and Senior High Schools.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of Jackson High School, and expects to receive a degree in English from Southeast in December.
The couple resides in Jackson.
