Sarah Elizabeth Riehn and Guy Joseph Krueger were married Aug. 4, 2007, at New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson. The Rev. John Rice performed the ceremony. Organist was Linda Thompson, aunt of the bride, and soloist was Julie Walker. Scripture was read by Amoneeta Beck.
Stan and Ginger Riehn of Oak Ridge are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Jackie Krueger of Murphysboro, Ill., and Don and Lou Krueger of Lake Zurich, Ill.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Crissy Groff of Perryville, Mo. Bridesmaids were Lynn Dettman of DuQuoin, Ill.; Angela Riehn of Imperial, Mo., sister-in-law of the bride; and McKenzie Tidwell of Denver, Colo., cousin of the bride.
The groom chose his brother, Caleb Krueger of Chicago, as best man. Groomsmen were Ernest Kimbler of Gainesville, Fla.; Michael Riehn of Imperial, brother of the bride; and Jay Cravens of Danville, Ill. Ushers were Russell Danielson of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Steve Davis of Chicago.
Candlelighters were Darla Mangels of Jackson and Kirstie Mangels of Oran, Mo., cousins of the bride.
Flower girl was Elizabeth Krueger, daughter of Caleb Krueger and niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Carson Riehn, son of Michael and Angela Riehn and nephew of the bride.
Jessica Tidwell of Bloomington, Ill., cousin of the bride, attended the guest book.
The reception was held at Bavarian Halle in Fruitland. Servers were Ethel Daume and Verla Mangels, aunt of the bride.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Aug. 3 at Port Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Krueger received a bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design from Southeast Missouri State University in 2002. She is a graphic designer with Silkworm Inc. in Murphysboro, Ill.
The groom received a bachelor of science degree in journalism from the University of Florida in 1997, and a master of arts degree in English from Southern Illinois University in 2005. He is a doctoral candidate at SIU-Carbondale, where he is an English instructor.
After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple resides in Carbondale.
