Christ Lutheran Church at Gordonville was the setting July 10, 2004, for the wedding of Heidi Elizabeth Ridings and Sean Lee Adams. The Rev. Gary Hoffstetter performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jan and Paula Parker of Jackson and Calvin Ridings of Marble Hill, Mo. The groom is the son of Roger Adams and Connie Adams of Jackson.
Matron of honor was Brooke Pobst of Jackson. Bridesmaids were Emily Schooley of Cape Girardeau, Angie Schwab of Jackson, LeAnna Hogan and Melissa Williams of Cape Girardeau.
Darrin Helderman of Scottsville, Ky., was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Brandon Borgfield, Brandon Gaulding and Will Otto of Cape Girardeau, and Adam Miller of Jackson. Ushers were Bob Schooley of Cape Girardeau, and Alex Parker of Jackson, brother of the bride.
Candlelighters were Alex Parker and Rebecca Parker of Jackson, sister of the bride.
Rebecca Parker attended the guest book.
The reception was held at the Elks Lodge. Servers were Thelma Norris of St. Charles, aunt of the bride; and Teasha Pohlman of Frohna, Mo., cousin of the bride.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 9 at the church.
Mrs. Adams is a 2000 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2004. She is a preschool teacher.
The groom is a 1996 graduate of Jackson High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from Southeast in 2000. He is a sergeant with the road division of the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department.
After a wedding trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple is residing in Jackson.
