Erika June Reppen and Henrique Cavalcanti De Almeida were united in marriage July 7, 2007, at the U.S. Air Force Academy Chapel in Colorado Springs, Colo. The Rev. Scott Myers performed the ceremony. Organist was Dr. Joseph Galema, and soloist was Shelly Myers.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norvald J. Reppen Jr. of Jackson. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilberto De Almeida of Recife, Brazil.
Matron of honor was Kelly McCurry of Nashville, Tenn. Bridesmaids were Sara Harvey, Julie Maker and Melissa Larson, all of Colorado Springs. Junior bridesmaid was Elisabeth Hutchins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Hutchins of Meredith, N.H., and niece of the bride.
Kelly Burns of Colorado Springs was best man. Groomsmen were Vernon Podlewski of Maui, Hawaii, Jason Crowe of Colorado Springs, and Jeff Mills of Hattiesburg, Miss.
Flower girl and ringbearer were Annika and Kristjana Reppen, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Torger Reppen of Panama City, Fla., and nieces of the bride.
The reception was held at The Place in Colorado Springs.
The rehearsal dinner was held July 6 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Kuchinsky of Monument, Colo.
Mrs. De Almeida received a bachelor of music in piano from Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., and a master's degree in music education from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. She is a music instructor and an independent beauty consultant with Mary Kay.
The groom is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in jazz composition in Boston, Mass., and received a master's degree in music performance from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. He is a member of the U.S. Air Force Academy Band, founder of the Brazilian Jazz Project, and co-owner of the Percussion Institute of Colorado.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple resides in Colorado Springs.
