Kelley Diane Reeves and John Drake McGowan were married Aug. 5, 2005, at St. James Church of Christ in Tilsit. Chris Reeves and James Schultz performed the ceremony. Readers were Deb Oliveras of Washington, Mo., and Frank Bauer of Milwaukee, Wis. Music was by Chris Nall and Shari Boxdorfer of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Bernie and Elaine Reeves of Monroe, Iowa. The groom is the son of Betty McGowan of Mount Vernon, Ohio.
Matron of honor was Shari Boxdorfer. Junior bridesmaid was Emma Reeves of Eagan, Minn., niece of the bride.
Hugh McGowan of Cape Girardeau was his brother's best man. Junior groomsman was Jonah Reeves of Eagan, nephew of the bride. Ushers were Sam Reeves of Eagan, nephew of the bride, and Tommy McGowan of Cape Girardeau, nephew of the groom.
Candlelighter was Caleb Reeves of Eagan, nephew of the bride.
Flower girl was Betsy Reeves of Eagan, niece of the bride.
Receptions were held at the church after the ceremony, Aug. 7 at La Croix United Methodist Church, and Sept. 17 at Monroe Presbyterian Church in Monroe, Iowa.
Mrs. McGowan received a master's degree from Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville, Mo. She is a senior speech-language pathologist at Saint Francis Medical Center.
The groom received a master's degree from Regis University in Denver, Colo. He is a program coordinator with MERS/Goodwill.
The couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
