Ratliff-Poston

Amanda Dayle Ratliff and Christopher Daniel Poston were married June 9, 2005, at the Ratliff farm in Van Buren, Mo. The Revs. Fred Poston and Philip Roop performed the ceremony. Music was by Jason Keese, Scott Bierschwal, Howard Poston and Fred Poston, all of Cape Girardeau. Vocalist was Bill McCaig of Cape Girardeau.

Parents of the couple are Dale and Bev Ratliff and Fred and Dawn Poston, all of Cape Girardeau.

Maid of honor was Melissa Ratliff of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Tiffany Cunningham of Orlando, Fla.; Sharalyn DiFrenna of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; Leslie Shain of Jackson; Elena Poston of Cape Girardeau, sister of the groom; and Carissa Wheeler of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Caylee Wheeler of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride.

Brandon Furlong of St. Louis was best man. Groomsmen were Jonathan Poston, brother of the groom, Blaine Brunkhorst and Ryan Gerecke, all of Cape Girardeau; Josh Delport of Capetown, South Africa; Andrew and Clayton Ratliff of Cape Girardeau, cousins of the bride. Junior groomsman was Sean Poston of Cape Girardeau, brother of the groom. Ushers were Andrew Ratliff and Jared Schippers of Cape Girardeau.

Flower girl was Taylor Clifton, daughter of Tim and Misty Clifton of Cape Girardeau. Ringbearer was Calvin Brunkhorst, son of Blaine and Beth Brunkhorst.

Mollie Young of Cape Girardeau attended the guest book.

The reception was held at the Ratliff farm. Servers were Jessica Johnston and Karen Smiley, aunt of the bride, both of Cape Girardeau.

Janet Jackson of Van Buren hosted the rehearsal dinner June 8 at the Float Stream in Van Buren.

Mrs. Poston is a 1999 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Fla., in 2003. She is a kindergarten teacher at the Christian Academy in Sikeston, Mo.

The groom is a 2001 graduate of Central High School. He is a senior at Southeast Missouri State University, majoring in finance and German. He is employed at First Missouri State Bank in Cape Girardeau.

The couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
