Holly Michelle Raines and Ryan David Heslinga were married Dec. 6, 2003, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Mo. The Rev. Oliver Clavin performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Shirley Raines and Bruce and Janie Raines, all of Scott City. The groom is the son of George and Kita Heslinga of Dunnellon, Fla.
Maid of honor was Michelle Stephens of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Chris Beardslee of Cape Girardeau; Beth Bahr of Scott City, cousin of the bride; and Janna Hickel of Columbia, Ill., sister of the groom.
Michael Rengel of St. Louis was best man. Groomsmen were Dan Raines of Kelso, brother of the bride; Laura Turner of Scott City and Matt Fanning of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Michael Clark of Cape Girardeau, uncle of the bride; John Miller of Benton, Mo.; Timothy Hollingsworth of Wheaton, Ill., cousin of the groom; and Jason Reichhold.
Flower girls were Valerie Bahr and Hannah Hickel. Valerie is the daughter of Larry and Beth Bahr of Scott City and cousin of the bride. Hannah is the daughter of Greg and Janna Hickel and niece of the groom.
Candlelighters were Brittany Clark of Cape Girardeau and Ashley Raines of Scott City, cousins of the bride.
Heather Marsh of St. Louis attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Holiday Inn. Servers were Robin Moore and Ashley Raines.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Dec. 5 at Bella Italia.
Mrs. Heslinga is a 1997 graduate of Scott City High School, a 2003 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, and is pursuing a master's degree in English at Southeast.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of Wheaton North High School, and a 2002 graduate of Southeast. He is employed at State Collection Inc.
The couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
