Amy Beth Puchbauer and Ryan Sean Smith were married July 28, 2001, at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Douglas Breite performed the double ring ceremony. Music was provided by Madeline Rasche of Cape Girardeau.

The bride is the daughter of Carl and Patsy Puchbauer of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Charlie and Carolyn Smith.

Maid of honor was Susan Sciortino of Cape Girardeau, Staci Gallaher of Jackson, Mo., and Angie Johnson.

Brett Smith of Atlanta, Ga., served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Shaun Taylor and Greg Gallaher of Jackson. Ushers were Eric Puchbauer of St. Louis, brother of the bride, and Kevin Essner of Cape Girardeau.

Flower girls were Angela and Michelle Puchbauer of St. Louis and Megan Puchbauer of Advance, Mo., all nieces of the bride.

Erin and Bonnie Meeker of Davenport, Iowa, attended the guest book.

The reception was held at Highway 25 Banquet Hall in Jackson. Servers were Marci Meeker, Kim Gerlach and Donna Birk.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 27 at the banquet hall.

The bride received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University, and a master's degree in education from Webster University. She is a fifth grade teacher at North Elementary in Jackson.

The groom attended Columbia Southern University. He is a P.C. specialist at St. Francis Medical Center.

The couple resides in Jackson.
