Amy Michelle Pohlman and Adam Paul Thomas were married May 1, 2010, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. The Rev. Roger Steinbrueck performed the ceremony. Organist was Matt Palisch of Jackson. Soloists were Carrie Leonard of Grain Valley, Mo., sister of the groom, and Laura Kilpatrick of Independence, Mo., aunt of the groom.
The bride is the daughter of Terry and Bonnie Pohlman of Oak Ridge. The groom is the son of Kathy and Chris Gateley of Lathrop, Mo., and Paul Thomas of Bethany, Mo.
Maid of honor was Mindy Petzoldt of Jackson. Bridesmaids were Logan Birk of Jackson, cousin of the bride; Katie Miesner of Frohna, Mo.; Lindsey Pohlman of Oak Ridge, sister-in-law of the bride; Cassie Bacon of Prairie Grove, Ark., cousin of the bride; Candice Schaper of Perryville, Mo.; Christine Johle and Shelly Meier of Jackson.
Clinton Thomas of St. Joseph, Mo., was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Josh Phillips of Lathrop, Ryan Wolfe of Cosby, Mo., Ryan Pohlman of Oak Ridge, brother of the bride; Alex Clark of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; Ryan Wilson of Portageville, Mo.; Chris Balfour of Lathrop; and Brandon Nieder of Amsterdam, Mo. Ushers were Scott Gateley of Kansas City, Kan., brother of the groom; Dennis Leonard Jr. of Grain Valley, brother-in-law of the groom; Jarrod Suhr and Brian Schoenebeck of Jackson.
Candlelighters were April Brumfield of Jackson and Alana Borgfield of Daisy.
Flower girl was Maddie Preusser, daughter of Matt and Sarah Preusser of Friedheim and goddaughter of the bride. Ringbearer was Dennis Leonard III, son of Dennis and Carrie Leonard Jr. and nephew of the groom.
Guest book attendant was Paige Birk of Jackson, and program attendant was Amanda Bacon of Prairie Grove, cousins of the bride. Bubble attendants were Carter and Blake Thomas of Bethany, brothers of the groom.
A dinner and dance reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson.
The parents of the bride and groom hosted the rehearsal dinner April 30 at the KC Hall.
Mrs. Thomas is a 2002 graduate of Oak Ridge High School. She received a bachelor's degree in business administration, with emphasis in organizational leadership, from Southeast Missouri State University in 2006. She is a financial services manager at Commerce Bank in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Lathrop High School. He received a bachelor's degree in agricultural systems management from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2007. He is a production supervisor at Cargill Inc. in Charleston, Mo.
After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is residing in Jackson.
