Whitney Blair Pingel and Ryan Jacob Bandermann were married June 23, 2007, at Lynwood Baptist Church. The Rev. Gary Belcher performed the ceremony. Philip Davidson, the couple's former youth pastor, shared words via internet from Belarus, Russia. Pianist was Shane Steck of Jefferson City, Mo. Soloists were Jordan Carver and Josh Reimann of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Dale and Rene Pingel, and the groom is the son of Rick and Pam Bandermann, all of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Lindsey Pingel of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lauren Parrent of Los Angeles, Calif.; Kelly Zinn of Cape Girardeau; Erika Slaughter of McKinney, Texas, cousin of the bride; Emily Curtis of Jackson; Alicia Leimkuehler of Blue Springs, Mo.; Meredith Toole of Cape Girardeau, and Sarah Bandermann of Cape Girardeau, sister-in-law of the bride.
Jason and Kyle Bandermann of Cape Girardeau were their brother's best men. Groomsmen were Kyle Booth of Caruthersville, Mo., Tyson Rayburn of Cape Girardeau, David Wyatt of Boston, Mass., Andrew Guthrie of San Antonio, Texas, Chris Boschen of Springfield, Mo., and Jamie Hughes of Columbia, Mo. Ushers were Luke and Matt Crader of Jackson, cousins of the groom; Ty DeClue of Bolivar, Mo., and Jared Huffman of Zalma, Mo., cousins of the bride.
Candlelighters were Jaclyn Heider of Columbia and Catey Jones of Jefferson City. Flower girl was Emma Greene, daughter of Mike and Brandi Greene of Jackson. Ringbearer was Drew Stufflebam, son of Greg and Beth Stufflebam of Springfield and cousin of the bride.
Program attendants were Mollie and Zach Crader of Jackson, cousins of the groom. Guest book and reception attendants were Kristin Borgstede, Maggie Erdman, Megan Hulver and Lora Wissman, all of Columbia.
The reception was held at Bavarian Hall in Fruitland.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 22 at Port Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Bandermann is a 2003 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor's degree in early childhood and elementary education from the University of Missouri-Columbia in May 2007. She is a first grade teacher at Orchard Elementary in Jackson.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Woodland High School. He received a bachelor's degree in health science from UM-C in 2006, and a master's degree in physical therapy from the university in May 2007. He is a physical therapist with MidAmerica Rehab.
After a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
