St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church was the setting May 26, 2001, for the wedding of Danielle Nicole Pierce and Brandon Swanner. The Rev. J. Friedel performed the double ring ceremony. Guitarist was Daniel Braun and soloist was Justin Braun, both of Scott City, Mo. Reader was Regina Hagen of Scott City.
Parents of the bride are Michael and Bonnie Pierce of Cape Girardeau and Dave and Trish Seabaugh of Webster Groves, Mo. The groom is the son of Donald and Madelene Swanner of Scott City.
Maid of honor was Lisa Sanders and matron of honor was Angela Williams, both of Scott City. Bridesmaids were Amber Pierce of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride; Kim Swanner of Perryville, Mo., sister of the groom; Meredith Seabaugh of St. Louis, sister of the bride; Heather White of Kansas City, Mo., and Jill Terbrock of St. Louis.
Neil Sanders of Festus, Mo., and Chad Bles of Texas served the groom as best men. Groomsmen were Justin Braun; Don Swanner Jr., brother of the groom; Robert "Spike" Cook, both of Cape Girardeau; Chris Josephs of Scott City; and Aaron Hofius of St. Louis. Ushers were Clay Eubanks, Danny Sherwinter, Rich Unger, and Kevin Goodier.
Candlelighters were Jill Terbrock and Heather White.
Flower girl was Katie Woodworth, daughter of Kim Swanner of Perryville and niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Joel Saint John, son of Kim Swanner and nephew of the groom.
Trainbearers were Mickell Swanner, daughter of Kim Swanner and niece of the groom, and Whitney Stewart, daughter of Marietta Obergoenner of Perryville.
Freda McGhee attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson, Mo. Servers were Angie Sanders, Jennifer Bles, Jessica Braun, Andrea Hofius, and Angela Misuraco.
The rehearsal dinner was held May 25 at the KC Hall.
Mrs. Swanner attended Missouri Baptist College in St. Louis. She is employed in guest and e-mail services at Build-A-Bear Workshop World Bear Quarters in St. Louis.
The groom is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, where he majored in psychology and human resource management. He is in the clinical psychology Ph.D. program at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
The couple is residing in Florissant, Mo.
