Jennifer Phillips and Maurice Carothers exchanged wedding vows Oct. 4, 2008, at Hilton Garden Inn in O'Fallon, Ill. Phil Roop performed the ceremony. Music was by the Manhasset Quartet.
Parents of the couple are Lewis and Kon Cha Phillips of Arnold, Mo., and Marshall and Gwendolyn Carothers of Centerville, Tenn.
Maid of honor was Cat Phillips of O'Fallon, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Deanna Rick of St. Louis; Candace Langbecker of Arnold; and Marquitta Carothers of Centerville, sister of the groom. Junior bridesmaid was Jourdan Phillips of O'Fallon, niece of the bride.
Davy Baker of Williamsport, Tenn., was best man. Groomsmen were Darius McBride of Cape Girardeau, Shawn DeVooght of Grimes, Iowa, Randy Jones of Cape Girardeau, and Ryan Gipson of Fort Mill, S.C., cousin of the groom. Ushers were Tim Hopper of Cape Girardeau, Matt Brown of Centerville, and Ajani Hawkins of Cordova, Tenn.
Candlelighters were mothers of the bride and groom.
Flower girls were Marley Baker, Siena Rick and Kimmora Carothers. Marley is the daughter of Davy and Alicia Baker. Siena is the daughter of Todd and Deanna Rick. Kimmora is the daughter of the bride and groom. Ringbearer was Jake Carter, son of Don and Helen Carter of Seattle, Wash., and cousin of the bride.
Guest book attendants were Jodi Brown of Cape Girardeau and Denise McIntosh of Oran, Mo.
The reception was held at the Regency Conference Center in O'Fallon.
The rehearsal dinner was held at the Hilton Garden Inn.
Mrs. Carothers received a bachelor of science degree from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a sales account manager with Yellowbook.
The groom attended Cumberland University in Tennessee. He is employed at Procter and Gamble.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is residing in Jackson.
