Alyssa Susan Phares and Jeffrey Daniel Lage were united in marriage Oct. 30, 2010, in Whitefield Chapel at Bethesda Home for Boys in Savannah, Ga. The Rev. Joe Wadas performed the ceremony. Soloist was Loren Groves of Perryville, Mo.

The bride is the daughter of Patrick and Martha Phares of Normal, Ill. The groom is the son of Dori Lage of Cape Girardeau, and the late Wally Lage.

A family prayer was read by the bride and groom, accompanied by their son, Kaden.

Matrons of honor were Kelly Willis Carrico of Louisville, Ky., and Kristen Lueders-Cates of Great Falls, Mont. Bridesmaids were Miranda Miller of Lexington, Ill., Desirae Baucum of Bloomington, Ill., Erica Robbins of Spain, and Claudette Gilman of Cape Girardeau.

Matthew Gockel of St. Louis and Kyle Radake of Cape Girardeau were best men. Groomsmen were Michael Mercer of Nashville, Tenn.; Jacobi Goggin of Chicago; Nathan Phares, brother of the bride; and Trevor Welter, both of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Tony Boren of Cape Girardeau and John Frank of St. Louis.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Vic's on the River in Savannah. Another reception was held Nov. 20 at the Elks Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

The groom's mother hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 29 at The Lady and Sons in Savannah.

Mrs. Lage is a 2004 graduate of Lexington High School in Lexington. She received a bachelor's degree in historic preservation from Southeast Missouri State University, and is pursuing a master of arts degree in historic preservation through Savannah College of Art and Design. She is employed at the Southeast Missourian.

The groom is a graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School, and attended Southeast University. He is owner of Consultative Marketing Group.

After a wedding trip to Fripp Island, S.C., the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
