Sarah Elizabeth Pfanstiel and Stephen Russell Turner exchanged vows May 3, 2008, at the Gerecke home in Cape Girardeau. Russell Turner performed the ceremony. Ryan Corn of Scott City sang and played acoustic guitar; Josh Reeves and David Pfanstiel, brother of the bride, both of Cape Girardeau, were drummers; Rebekah Pfanstiel of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride, was pianist; and Andrew Turner of Tauranga, New Zealand, was saxophonist.
Parents of the couple are Kurt and Pam Pfanstiel of Cape Girardeau, and Russell and Milly Turner of Tauranga.
Matron of honor was Erin Parker of Memphis, Tenn., and maids of honor were Rebekah Pfanstiel and Christian Woelk of Washington, D.C. Bridesmaids were Jessica King of Cape Girardeau, Stephanie Swan of Newport, Va., and Carrie Woelk of Cape Girardeau.
Best men were Michael, Andrew and David Turner of Tauranga, brothers of the groom. Groomsmen were Christopher Poston, David Pfanstiel, and David Francis of Invercargill, New Zealand. Ushers were Matthew, McCoy and Jason Hayden of San Diego, Calif., cousins of the bride; Kevin Pollock of Ironton, Mo., Ryan and Kyle Gerecke of Cape Girardeau.
Ringbearer was Ryan Hayden of Olathe, Kan., cousin of the bride.
Mary Hayden of San Diego, cousin of the bride, attended the guest book.
The reception and dinner was held at Marquette Tower.
The rehearsal dinner was held May 2 at the Gerecke home, hosted by the families of the bride and groom, the Gerecke family, and Mike and Trish Woelk.
Mrs. Turner received a bachelor of science degree in human environmental studies from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a free-lance interior designer.
The groom is a graduate of Tauranga Boys College. He is a background vocalist, plays bass guitar, and is sound engineer with RedRain, a New Zealand rock band.
The couple took a wedding trip to Thailand.
They will be traveling internationally with the band, which is based in Tauranga.
