Amber Jean Niswonger and Justin Benjamin Bickings exchanged wedding vows March 15, 2003, at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Douglas C. Breite performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Christina Vogel of Chesterfield, Mo., and Madelyn Rasche of Cape Girardeau.
Parents of the couple are Martin and Nancy Niswonger and Danny and Debbie Bickings, all of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Andrea Niswonger of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amy Bickings, sister of the groom; Heidi Augspurger; Nicole Gerard; Crystal Morton, cousin of the bride; and Amy Estes, all of Cape Girardeau.
Aaron Vance of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Warren Eaves of Cape Girardeau, Joe Abbott of Carbondale, Ill., Henry Kennemore of Cape Girardeau, Dennis Clay of Columbia, Mo., and Lance Stepp of St. Charles, Mo. Ushers were Eric Niswonger of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride, and Jason Bickings of Kelso, Mo., cousin of the groom.
Candlelighter was Crystal Morton of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride.
Susan Vincel, aunt of the bride, attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at Deerfield. Servers were Shirley and Alice Niswonger and Flossie Leggett, aunts of the bride.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner March 14 at Port Cape.
Mrs. Bickings is a 1998 graduate of Central High School, and is a junior at Southeast Missouri State University pursuing a degree in physical education. She is employed at Natural Health Organic Foods.
The groom attended Central High School. He is a sergeant in the Army National Guard 1140th Engineer Battalion, and is employed with Missouri Military Funeral Honors Program at the National Guard Armory.
The couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
