Beth Ann Mullin and Joseph David Lage were united in marriage May 21, 2005, at All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk, Iowa. The Rev. Paul Connolly performed the ceremony. Organist and pianist was Dayton Smith of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; violinist was Krista Soda of Waukee, Iowa; and vocalist was Jason Shaffer of Florissant, Mo.
The bride is the daughter of Malcolm Mullin of Keokuk, and the late Kathryn Mullin. The groom is the son of Wally and Dori Lage of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Merit Mullin of Chicago, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Beth Messinger of Burlington, Iowa, Tiffani Core of Pleasantville, Iowa, and Dr. Leslie Beaird of Barrington, Ill.
Lewis Borders of Louisville, Ky., was best man. Groomsmen were Jeff Mullin of Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, brother of the bride; Chris Carnes of Paducah, Ky.; and Jeff Lage of St. Louis, brother of the groom. Ushers were Kyle Beaird of Barrington and Daniel Hickey of Keokuk.
Flower girl was Riley Messinger, daughter of Tom and Beth Messinger and goddaughter of the bride. Ringbearer was Jacob Lage, son of the groom.
Guest book attendants were Dennis and Carolyn Patterson.
The reception was held at Keokuk Country Club.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 20 at Hawkeye Restaurant.
Mrs. Lage is a graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School in Keokuk. She received a bachelor of science degree in biology in 1995, and a bachelor of science in medicine in 1997, both from the University of Iowa. She is a senior regulatory affairs associate at Abbott Labs in Chicago.
Lage is a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Paducah, and attended Paducah Community College. He is floor manager at Crown Cadillac Nissan.
The couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
