Chelsea Morton and Phillip Wichern were united in marriage Aug. 15, 2009, at New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson. John Rice performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Mary Morton of Jackson. The groom is the son of Dennis Wichern of Jackson and Wanda Bailey of Benton, Mo.
Maid of honor was Shelby Morton of Jackson, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amy Wichern of Cape Girardeau, sister of the groom; Heather Palisch of Jackson, cousin of the bride; Leni Fluegge and Erin Fields of Cape Girardeau.
Cliff Illers of Cape Girardeau was best man. Groomsmen were Clay Randol of Jackson, Jeremie Nothdurft of Cape Girardeau, Drew Blattner of Oak Ridge, and Lance Trankler of Jackson. Ushers were Scott Lang and Eli Landgraf of Jackson.
Candlelighters were Alicia Thomure of Joplin, Mo., and Melissa Ahner of Fenton, Mo.
Flower girl and ring bearer were Gloria and Grant Kroodsma, children of Chris and Stephanie Kroodsma of Peoria, Ill., and cousins of the groom.
Jessica Tuschhoff attended the guest book.
The reception was held at Bavarian Halle.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at the church.
Mrs. Wichern is a 2006 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor's degree in finance from Southeast Missouri State University in 2008, and is pursuing a master's degree in business administration at Southeast. She is employed at the Bank of Missouri.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Jackson High School. He received a bachelor's degree in agribusiness from Southeast in 2007. He is self-employed.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple is residing in Jackson.
