Katie Diane Mohundro and Derek Paul Miller exchanged vows Sept. 8, 2007, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. Monsignor Edward Eftink performed the ceremony. Recorded music was played.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Mary Ellen Mohundro of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Brian and Lisa Burger of Jackson, and the late Douglas Miller of Scott City.
Maid of honor was Amanda Morrow of Jackson; matrons of honor were Sandy Foeste of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride, and Ashley Diebold of Jackson, sister of the groom. Bridesmaids were Alynda Lane of Jackson, Whitney Ostendorf of Cape Girardeau, Renee Essner of Scott City, Amelia Farrow of Cape Girardeau, and Courtney Tucker of Millersville, cousin of the groom.
Chris Neilsen of St. Charles, Mo., was best man. Groomsmen were Matt Diebold of Jackson, brother-in-law of the groom; Michael Mohundro of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride; Tyler Halterman, Zach McCullough, Ricky Mirly, Matt Shelson and Dustin Smithy, all of Jackson. Ushers were Jeremy Loenneke of Jackson, Robert Maddox of Oran, Mo., Dustin York and Caleb Smothers of Cape Girardeau.
Candlelighters were Myra Neeley of Cairo, Ill., grandmother of the bride, and Carolyn Hinkle of Chaffee, Mo., grandmother of the groom.
Flower girls were Sydney Sander and Clara Horrell, and ringbearers were Trevor and Nathan Foeste. Sydney is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Sander of Jackson. Clara is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Horrell of Jackson. Trevor and Nathan are sons of Sandy Foeste of Cape Girardeau and nephews of the bride.
Guest book and program attendants were Maranda Mills and Abigail Charlier, cousins of the groom.
The reception was held at Bavarian Halle in Fruitland.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 7 at their home.
Mrs. Miller is a 2005 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School, and attended Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She is employed at National Asset Recovery Services.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Jackson High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University. He is employed at Ole Hickory Pits.
The couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
