Diane Laura Mirly and Travis Lee Demarest were united in marriage Oct. 4, 2003, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Wells, Mo. The Rev. Rick Patzwitz performed the ceremony. Soloist was Joleta Ludwig.

Parents of the bride are Kenny and Joann Mirly of New Wells. The groom is the son of Lanny Demarest of Brookfield, Mo., and Vickie Lane of Scott City.

Matron of honor was Jennifer Schlueter, sister of the groom. Bridesmaids were Jenny Werner, Sara Johnson and Amy Richter.

Jay Click was best man. Groomsmen were Nathan Langley, cousin of the groom; Jim Kuehnert; and Darin Lane, brother of the groom. Ushers were David Mirly, brother of the bride, and Dale Lane, brother of the groom.

Candlelighters were Tori Mirly, sister-in-law of the bride, and Tresa Erikson, sister of the groom.

Flower girl was Chloe Pipkin, daughter of Richard and Joel Pipkin. Ringbearer was Austin Sells, son of Bruce and Deanna Sells.

Annie Lane, sister of the groom, attended the guest book. Joe Erlacker, cousin of the bride, handed out programs.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the American Legion Hall in Jackson.

Mrs. Demarest is a 1999 graduate of Jackson High School, and 2003 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at Hand Me Arounds.

The groom is a 1994 graduate of Malden High School, and 1999 graduate of Southeast University. He is employed by Target Corp.

The couple is residing in Jackson.
