Jennifer Michelle Miller and Hermanus Josias Louw were united in marriage Jan. 15, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City. The Rev. Robert Flannery performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Debbera Miller of Scott City. The groom is the son of Herman and Susan Louw of Middleburg, South Africa.
Matrons of honor were Elizabeth Cartwright and Erika McFall of Scott City, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were MaKenzie and Kacie Cartwright and Jordan McFall, all of Scott City and nieces of the bride; Elizabeth Hamilton of Indianapolis, Ind.; and Lori Arnzen of Scott City.
Corne Prozesky of Carbondale, Ill., was best man. Groomsmen were Gustavo Leal of Carbondale; Brian Umbright of St. Louis; Lance Miller, brother of the bride; John McFall and Bill Cartwright, brothers-in-law of the bride; and Jonathan McFall, nephew of the bride, all of Scott City.
Candlelighters were Susan Hankins of St. Louis and Jessica Weiland of San Antonio, Texas.
Flower girl was Taylor Davenport, daughter of Todd and Jody Davenport of Nashville, Tenn., cousin of the bride. Ringbearers were Hudson McFall and Cole Cartwright, nephews of the bride. Hudson is the son of John and Erika McFall. Cole is the son of Bill and Libbi Cartwright.
Guest book attendants were Karina Belache, Lourenke Prozesky, Gina Wood and Tonia Stichling.
The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City.
The bride and groom hosted the rehearsal dinner Jan. 14 at Schock's Community Arts Center.
Mrs. Louw received a bachelor of arts degree in biology from St. Louis University. She expects to receive a law degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law in May.
The groom received a bachelor of science degree in community health education from Southern Illinois University, and is pursuing a master's degree in sports management.
A wedding trip to South Africa is planned in August.
The couple is residing in St. Louis.
