Miller-Adams

JACKSON, Mo. - Melissa Renee Miller and Mark Allan Adams were married June 2, 2001, at the home of the bride's parents. The Rev. Les Cassill of Columbia, Mo., performed the double ring outdoor garden ceremony. Music was provided by Southeast Missouri State University Brass Quintet.

The bride's parents are Dr. Timothy and Donna Miller of Jackson. The groom's parents are Mark T. and Tamera Adams of Sikeston, Mo.

Maid of honor was Kimber Miller of Jackson, sister of the bride. Bridesmaid was Ashley Brooks of Milstadt, Ill., cousin of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Lauren Schuette, daughter of Don and Donna Schuette of Jackson.

The groom chose Wesley Cattoor of Rolla, Mo., as best man. Groomsman was Matt Wade of Rolla. Ushers were Chris Wunderlich of Rolla and Jason Brooks of Milstadt, cousin of the bride.

Flower girl was Paige Brooks of Milstadt, cousin of the bride. She is the daughter of Bobby Brooks. Ringbearer was Hunter Schuette of Jackson. He is the son of Don and Donna Schuette.

Renea Clippard of Frisco, Texas, attended the guestbook.

Following the ceremony, an outdoor reception was held at the bride's parents' home. Servers were Angie Schwab, Erica McQuay, and Lisa Drum, all of Jackson; Chris Mueller of Columbia Ill.; Sandy Moore of Whitewater, and Alexis Reese of New York City, N.Y.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at Remington's in the Holiday Inn in Cape Girardeau.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Jackson High School and received a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2000. She is employed as a reporter at the Washington Missourian newspaper in Washington, Mo.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Sikeston High School and is a senior at the University of Missouri-Rolla, majoring in mining engineering.

After a wedding trip to Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island, Bahamas, the couple is residing in Sullivan, Mo.
