Meystedt - Huey

Emily Renee Meystedt and Aaron Scott Huey were married June 25, 2011, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. David Hulshof performed the ceremony. Organist was Mary Miller, violinist was Megan Thompson, and vocalist was Kaitlyn Robinson.

The bride is the daughter of Tom and Diana Harold of Cape Girardeau and Jim and Barbara Meystedt of Franklin, Tenn. The groom is the son of Tim and Cindy Huey of Cape Girardeau.

Maid of honor was Sara Meystedt of Brentwood, Mo., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Megan Robert of St. Louis, Aimee Ha of Cape Girardeau, Chrissy Renick of St. Louis, Abby Janet and Lauren Essner, cousin of the bride, both of Cape Girardeau. Junior bridesmaids were Jacqueline and Isabella Meystedt of Franklin, sisters of the bride.

Zach Kluesner of Cape Girardeau was best man. Groomsmen were Garrett Ozbun, Dave Deisher, Conrad Westrich, Trenton Beckhan and Blake Driskell, all of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Nathan Meystedt and Alex Harold of Cape Girardeau, brothers of the bride; Kyle Haertling of Altenburg, Mo., and Jordan Picker of Cape Girardeau, cousins of the groom.

Candlelighters were Courtney Haertling and Kirstin Huey. Courtney is the daughter of Mark and Cathy Haertling of Altenburg and cousin of the groom. Kirstin is a sister of the groom.

Flower girl was Cora Barber, daughter of Gavin and Jamie Barber of Brazeau, Mo., cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Kyeson Huey, son of Kirstin Huey and nephew of the groom.

A dinner and dance reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 24 at the Glenn House.

Mrs. Huey received a bachelor of science degree in communication disorders from Missouri State University in Springfield in 2011. She is pursuing a master's degree in speech-language pathology at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.

The groom received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology at Rolla in 2010. He is an MWD field engineer with Haliburton of Houston, Texas.

After a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple resides in Beaumont.
