Andrea Rose McEntire and Joseph Bradley Slaten exchanged vows June 1, 2007, at Francine's Gardens. The Rev. Grant F.C. Gillard performed the ceremony. Recorded music was provided.
The bride is the daughter of Rose Ann McEntire of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Charleston, Mo., and the late Brooks McEntire. Richard and Lucy Slaten of Charleston are parents of the groom.
Spencer and Carter Slaten, sons of the groom, were junior groomsmen. Ushers were Scott Slaten of Nixa, Mo., brother of the groom, and Matthew McEntire of Minneapolis, Minn., brother of the bride.
Laura Odom of Poplar Bluff, Mo., sister of the groom, attended the guest book.
A dinner and dance reception was held at Francine's.
Mrs. Slaten is a 1994 graduate of Charleston High School. She received a bachelor of arts degree in history from Southeast Missouri State University in 2003, and is completing a master of arts degree in history at Southeast. She is a graduate assistant in the office of research and grant development at the university.
The groom is a 1994 graduate of Charleston High School, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1995 to 1999. He received a nursing degree from Lester L. Cox College of Nursing and Health Sciences in Springfield, Mo., in 2004. He is a registered nurse at Saint Francis Medical Center.
The couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
