Paula Marie McElreath and Todd Alan Johnston were married Oct. 16, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Douglas Breite performed the ceremony.
James and Charlene McElreath of Cape Girardeau are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Henry Johnston of Cape Girardeau.
Matrons of honor were Karen Johnston of Heidelberg, Germany, sister-in-law of the groom, and Rachael Lucas of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Jessica Besaw of Kansas City, Mo., and Megan Kistner of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride.
Travis Johnston of Heidelberg was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Daniel McElreath of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride; David Jones of Scott City and Dustin McKinnis of Cape Girardeau. Usher was Shane Kistner of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride.
The reception was held at the Elks Lodge.
The rehearsal dinner was Oct. 15 at Port Cape, hosted by the groom's grandparents, Claud and Betty Hosea.
Mrs. Johnston is a 2003 graduate of Central High School, 2007 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, and received a master's degree in community counseling from Webster University in 2010.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Central High School.
The couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
