Amanda Sue McCormick and Luke Denton Aufdenberg were married Feb. 17, 2007, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. Monsignor Ed Eftink and the Rev. Deacon William Hennecke performed the ceremony. Organist was Geri Beussink and vocalists were Ron and Christa Hitt, all of Jackson.
The bride is the daughter of Dean McCormick of Scott City and Marianne McCormick of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Dennis and Elizabeth Aufdenberg of Burfordville.
Maid of honor was Deana McCormick of Edwardsville, Ill., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Denise Yamnitz of Jackson, sister of the groom; Millie Aufdenberg of Burfordville, sister-in-law of the groom; Christa Barton of Jackson; and Katie Ressel of Kelso, Mo., cousin of the bride.
James Aufdenberg of Burfordville, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Matt Neil of Jackson, cousin of the groom; Adam Dillingham of Cape Girardeau; Jamie Yamnitz, brother-in-law of the groom, and Dean Brown, both of Jackson. Ushers were Barry Brueggeman of Edwardsville; Andrew Blattel of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride; Eric Birk of Jackson and Ashton James of Leopold, Mo., both cousins of the groom.
Candlelighters were Jessica Sawyer of Garland, Texas, and Shannon James of Cape Girardeau, both cousins of the groom.
Flower girl was Gracen James and ringbearer was Dylan Aufdenberg. Gracen is the daughter of Mark and Julie James of Jackson and cousin of the groom. Dylan is the son of James and Millie Aufdenberg and nephew and godson of the groom.
The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson. Servers were Logan and Aaron Schlosser, cousins of the bride.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner in the parish hall.
Mrs. Aufdenberg is a 2003 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a degree in agribusiness from Murray State University in Murray, Ky., in 2006. She is employed in the agri division at Buchheit in Biehle, Mo.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Jackson High School. He is employed by Jackson School District.
After a wedding trip to Las Vegas, Nev., the couple resides in Burfordville.
