Martin - Ressel

Alicia Iola Marie Martin and Jacob Paul Ressel exchanged vows July 19, 2008, at New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson. The Rev. Richard Combs performed the ceremony. Organist was Linda Thompson. Soloist was Sarah Martin of Burfordville, sister of the bride.

Parents of the couple are Rick and Donna Martin of Burfordville, and Bob and Terri Ressel of Oran, Mo.

Maid of honor was Rebecca Martin of Burfordville, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sarah Martin, and Jenipher Ressel of Oran, sister of the groom.

Lucas Ressel of Kansas City, Mo., was his brother's best man. Ushers and groomsmen were Andrew Schlosser of Oran and Geoffrey Seyer of Cape Girardeau.

Flower girl and ringbearer were Adrianna and Tristin Schlosser, children of Jason Schlosser and Jenipher Ressel and niece and nephew of the groom.

A dinner and dance reception was held at the American Legion Hall in Cape Girardeau. Cake server was Jackie Martin.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 18 at the church.

Mrs. Ressel is a 2003 graduate of Jackson High School, and 2007 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She is a sixth grade teacher at Sikeston Middle School.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Oran High School. He is employed at Best Buy in Cape Girardeau.

After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
