Arika Britt Lucy and the Rev. Timothy C. Winborne were married June 7, 2003, at First Baptist Church in Jackson. The Rev. Jerry Sullivan of Magee, Miss., performed the ceremony. He was assisted by the Rev. Mary McCord of Sikeston, Mo., aunt of the bride, and the Rev. Richard Britt of Farmington, Mo., grandfather of the bride.
Pianist and organist were Christy Shinn and Jean Schweain of Jackson, violinists were Steve Schaffner and Kari Bragg, and cellist was Stephanie Schaffner. Music was also provided by Trio Girardeaux. Vocalists were the groom; Sam Gregg, Brandon Andrews, Nathan Penland, James and Aaron Fortner, all of Jackson. Vocalist and pianist was Bethany Barr of Mississippi, and Brandon Andrews also played the piano.
Parents of the bride are Kenneth and Pamela Lucy of Jackson. The groom is the son of Carolyn Winborne of Mt. Olive, Miss., and the late Gilbert Winborne Sr.
Maids of honor were Julie Gerecke and Bridgette Birk of Jackson. Bridesmaids were Jennie Matthews, Kerrie Gordon, Jodie Brunke, Jennifer Watkins, Kinsey McManaman and Valerie Harter, all of Jackson.
Groomsmen were Lee and Russell Winborne of Mt. Olive, brothers of the groom; Ryan Lucy of Jackson, brother of the bride; Nathan Tuschhoff of Cape Girardeau; Amie Green, Chris Layton and Keith Cline, all of Mississippi. Ushers were Sam Gregg, Brandon Andrews, Nathan Penland, James and Aaron Fortner.
Candlelighter was Jordan Cox of Jackson.
Flower girl was Courtlyn Winborne of Mt. Olive, niece of the groom.
Beth Baugh of Jackson attended the guest book. Programs were handed out by several youths from the church.
Following the ceremony, a reception and dance was held at Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson. Servers were Sandra Moore, Caitlin Drum, Kay Thompson, Shelly Stover, Andrea Penland, John and Sarah Wright, and several youths from the church, all of Jackson.
The groom's family hosted the rehearsal dinner June 6 on the Iron Mountain Railroad Train.
Mrs. Winborne is a 2000 graduate of Jackson High School, and attended Webster University in Webster Groves, Mo. She expects to receive a bachelor's degree in music education from Southeast Missouri State University in May 2004. She also gives piano lessons.
The groom attended universities in Mississippi, traveled as a youth evangelism worship leader, was a former youth minister at First Baptist Church in Jackson, and is currently pastor of youth and worship at CrossRoads Fellowship in Jackson.
After a wedding trip to Ouray, Colo., the couple is residing in Jackson.
