Saundra Lix and Eric Flanagan exchanged wedding vows Aug. 4, 2006, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Douglas Breite performed the ceremony. A flute duet was presented by Dr. Carol McDowell and Sherrie Troxel. Soloist Evan Henry, nephew of the bride, was accompanied on the piano by McDowell.

The bride is the daughter of Anna Marie and Paul Drum of Fruitland, and the late George Gerler. The groom is the son of Ingrid Forsythe of Cape Girardeau and Lee and Ardell Flanagan of Mississippi.

Candlelighters were Wyatt Lix, son of the bride, and Matt Flanagan, son of the groom.

The bride was presented in marriage by her uncle, Leo Gerler of Crystal City, Mo.

Matron of honor was Brenda Shipman of Millersville, twin sister of the bride.

Terry Campbell of Jackson was best man. Ushers were Joshua and Ethan Lix, sons of the bride.

The reception was held in the church fellowship room.

The couple resides in Millersville.
