Catherine Marie Lewis and Zachariah Stephen Kesterson were married Oct. 14, 2006, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo, Ill. Monsignor Thomas Flach performed the ceremony. Organist/pianist was Linda Mueller, cantor and flutist was Kim Straub, and trumpeter was Joe Glessner, all of Waterloo. Soloist was Dr. Joe Goeke of Cape Girardeau.

The bride is the daughter of Steven and Linda Lewis of Birmingham, Ala. The groom is the son of Paul and Kay Kesterson II of Cape Girardeau.

Maid of honor was Erica Karius. Attendants were Morgan Scott, Samantha Colona, Dakota Kesterson; and Patrick and Scott Lewis, brothers of the bride.

Eric Voepel was best man. Groomsmen were Paul Kesterson, Josh Lee, Tyson Estes and Devin Kesterson. Ushers were Tom and David Sander.

The unity candle was lighted by mothers of the bride and groom.

The dinner and dance reception was held at the Lawyers Club in St. Louis.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 13 at Gallagher's in Waterloo.

Mrs. Kesterson is a 1999 graduate of Gibault High School in Waterloo, and received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2004. She is a special education teacher with Shawnee School District.

The groom is a 1996 graduate of Central High School, 2002 graduate of SEMO Law Enforcement Academy, and is pursuing a degree in mass communications at Southeast. He is a deputy with Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department.

The couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
