Julie Katherine Lessmann and Travis Reid Kearbey were married July 3, 2004, at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Douglas C. Breite performed the ceremony. Organist was Martin Roth, trumpeter was Marc Fulgham, and vocalists were Trudy Lee and Eric Scott, all of Cape Girardeau.
Dr. and Mrs. Ronald P. Lessmann of Cape Girardeau are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Alan Kearbey Sr. of Ellsinore, Mo.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father.
Matron of honor was Amy Hillin of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jessica Lessmann of Germantown, Md., sister-in-law of the bride; Jill Wittenborn of Cape Girardeau; Kristin McDougall of St. Louis; Courtney Jekel of Springfield, Mo.; Trina Kearbey of Ellsinore, sister of the groom; and Carolyn Combs of Hollister, Mo., cousin of the groom. Honorary bridesmaid was Amber Kearbey of Ellsinore, sister-in-law of the groom.
William Morgan IV of Fayetteville, Ark., was best man. Groomsmen were Brett Lessmann of Germantown, brother of the bride; John Hillin of Cape Girardeau, brother-in-law of the bride; Brent Summers of Jackson; James Pomeroy of Mount Vernon, Ind.; David Kearbey of Ellsinore, brother of the groom; and Chris Combs of Springfield, cousin of the groom. Ushers were the groomsmen and Craig Combs of Springfield, cousin of the groom.
Flower girls were Caroline, Casey and Jill Lessmann, daughters of Brett and Jessica Lessmann and nieces of the bride; Natalie, Gabrielle and Mia Frerking, daughters of Michael and Sarah Frerking of Springfield; and Christen, Courtney and Caitlyn Limbaugh, daughters of David and Lisa Limbaugh of Cape Girardeau. Ringbearers were Scott Limbaugh, son of David and Lisa Limbaugh; and Alex Kearbey, son of David and Amber Kearbey and nephew of the groom.
Betty Ligons of Ellsinore attended the guest book. Program attendants and greeters were Toni Arnold of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride, and Pat Combs of Hollister, aunt of the groom.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Cape Girardeau Country Club.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 2 at Royal N'Orleans Restaurant.
Mrs. Kearbey is a 1998 graduate of Central High School, and a 2003 graduate of Southwest Missouri State University. She is an independent contractor with Ad-On Promotional Products.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of East Carter County High School, 2003 graduate of Southwest University, and is attending Vanderbilt University School of Law in Nashville, Tenn.
The couple is residing in Nashville.
