Joanna Lee and Nathaniel Sides were married July 17, 2004, at Francine's Gardens. The Rev. Cy Smith performed the ceremony. Music was by the Miller String Trio and saxophonist Erin McGowan.
Parents of the bride are Tom and Gaye Lee of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Duane and Rene Statler of Jackson and Steven Sides of Lakewood, Colo.
Maid of honor was Julie McGowan of Cape Girardeau. Other attendants were Maggie Clark of New York; Shaelyn McQuay and Johnny Hooper of Cape Girardeau, both cousins of the bride.
Brad Berry of Cape Girardeau was best man. Groomsmen were Ian Sides, brother of the bride, and John Petty, both of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Jeremiah and Joshua Lee of Cape Girardeau, brothers of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held in the gardens.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 16 at Celebrations.
Mrs. Sides is a 2004 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at SEMO Crime Lab.
The groom attended Shawnee Community College, and is a 2001 graduate of the School of Audio Engineers in Nashville, Tenn. He is employed at KFVS 12.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
