Beth Elaine Laster and Branden Corey McCullough were married Oct. 23, 2004, at Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church. Janet Hopkins performed the ceremony. Guitarist was Nathan Elder of Cape Girardeau, and vocalist was Morgan Trousdale of St. Louis.
The bride is the daughter of Conley and Dee Laster of Scott City. The groom is the son of Jim and Joyce McCullough of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Amber Laster of Scott City, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lynn Pinnon of Dongola, Ill., Kathy Webster and Sarah Flowers of Cape Girardeau; Stephanie Matthews of Sikeston, Mo., and Melinda Grace of Scott City, cousins of the bride.
Trace Webster of Cape Girardeau was best man. Groomsmen were Alex Niswonger of Capae Girardeau, Nicky Murphy of California, Eli Flowers and Nathan Elder of Cape Girardeau, and Shawn Ackman of Jackson. Ushers were Stuart Matthews of Springfield, Mo., and Brian Gilpin of Scott City, cousins of the bride.
Candlelighters were Mikkaela McCullough of St. Louis, sister of the groom, and Sarah Gregory of Benton, Mo.
Flower girl was Leah Schnurbusch, daughter of Mike Schnurbusch and Kara Arnzen of Jackson.
A dinner and dance reception was held at Drury Lodge.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 22 in the church fellowship hall.
Mrs. McCullough received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2003. She is employed at Kid Academy in Marion, Ill.
The groom received a bachelor of arts degree in history from Southeast in 2001, and expects to receive a master of arts in history from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in May. He is a teaching assistant at SIU.
The couple is residing in Carbondale.
