Lauri Danielle Lankheit and Johnny Derek Guffey were united in marriage July 24, 2004, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Deacon Bob DePyper of Canton, Mo., and Deacon Alan Whitson of St. Louis, uncles of the bride, performed the ceremony. Music was presented by a quintet.

The bride is the daughter of Cliff and Melanie Lankheit of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Ted and Gail Guffey of Jackson.

Matrons of honor were Heather Holdman and Shanna Strickland, sister of the groom, both of Jackson. Bridesmaids were Emily Schumer of Cape Girardeau and Nina Jackson of Springdale, Ark.

Brian Holdman and Jason Strickland, brother-in-law of the groom, both of Jackson, were best men. Groomsmen were Cary Winchester of Jackson and Kevin Lankheit of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride. Ushers were Chad Jones of Memphis, Tenn., cousin of the groom, and Stephen DePyper of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride.

Candlelighters were Lindsey and Lisa Cook of St. Louis, cousins of the bride.

Flower girl was Sarah Dixon of Sikeston, Mo., cousin of the bride. Ringbearer was Colton Winchester of Jackson.

Guest book and program attendants were Leslie Cook of St. Louis, Bekah DePyper of Cape Girardeau, and Marci Lankheit of Centralia, Ill., cousins of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at Bavarian Halle. Servers were Nancy Lankheit of Trenton, Mo., aunt of the bride, and Jennifer Cochran of Pensacola, Fla., cousin of the bride.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 23 at the church.

Mrs. Guffey is a 1993 graduate of Sikeston High School, and received a bachelor's degree in marketing from Southeast Missouri State University in 1998. She is a work keys specialist at Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center.

The groom is a 1994 graduate of Central High School, and received a bachelor's degree in architecture from Southern Illinois University in 2004.

The couple is residing in Jackson.
