Jennifer Renee Kopf and Paul Kenneth Zimmerman exchanged vows June 9, 2001, at Centenary United Methodist Church. Dr. Clayton L. Smith performed the double ring ceremony. Reader was Harold Thielen of Cleveland, Ohio, uncle of the groom.
Harpist was Chadie Fruehwald and organist was Nancy Hilty, both of Cape Girardeau. Soloists were Robyn Hosp of Jackson, Mo., and Eddie Baeb of Chicago.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Kent Kopf of Cape Girardeau, and Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Zimmerman of DesMoines, Iowa.
Matron of honor was Julie Baeb of Chicago. Bridesmaids were Lesli Maxwell of Sacramento, Calif., Theresa Larson and Amy Carter of DesMoines.
Rich Michels of DesMoines served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Stan Sams of St. Louis and Jason Kopf of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride. Ushers were Dan Bishop, Bruce Zimmerman, brother of the groom, both of DesMoines; Tony Stephens of Versailles, Mo., and Aaron Rimel of Springfield, Mo., cousins of the bride.
Candlelighters were Kate and Annie Sloterdyk of DesMoines.
Flower girl was Katie Cooper of DesMoines, niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Zaven Stephens of Pearl City, Hawaii, cousin of the bride.
Guest book attendants were Brandi Flint of Jackson, Christina Green of Cape Girardeau, Beth Ogborn of Los Angeles, and Bethany Ridler of Lees Summit, Mo.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance was held at Bavarian Halle.
The rehearsal dinner was held June 8 at Celebrations.
The bride is a graduate of Central High School and of Drake University in DesMoines. She is associate home editor of Country Home Magazine in DesMoines.
The groom is a graduate of Urbandale High School in Urbandale, Iowa, and Iowa State University in Ames. He is art director of Country Home Magazine.
The couple resides in DesMoines.
